Brahmatal Trek is one of Uttarakhand’s most beautiful winter treks, known for its snow-covered trails, frozen Brahmatal Lake, dense forests, and breathtaking Himalayan views. Located in the Chamoli region, the trek offers an unforgettable experience for adventure lovers and mountain enthusiasts.
Starting from Lohajung, the trail passes through peaceful oak and rhododendron forests before reaching the stunning Brahmatal Lake and Brahmatal Summit. From the summit, trekkers can enjoy spectacular views of Mt. Trishul, Mt. Nanda Ghunti, and other Himalayan peaks.

Itinerary
Day 1: Reach Lohajung (7,600ft.)
Distance & Time: Drive 291 km from Dehradun or Kathgodam to Lohajung, approximately 8-10 hours. Altitude: 7,600 ft.
Day 2: Lohajung to Bekaltal (9,689 ft.)
Trek Distance & Trek Duration: Trek approximately 7-8 km, taking about 5-6 hours.
Altitude: 9,689 ft.
Day 3: Bekaltal to Brahmatal Lake (10,440 ft.)
Trek Distance & Trek Duration: Trek approximately 6-7 km, taking about 4-5 hours.
Altitude: 10,440 ft.
Day 4: Brahmatal Lake to Brahmatal Top (12,200 ft.) to Daldam
Trek Distance & Trek Duration: Trek approximately 10-12 km, taking about 7-8 hours.
Altitude: Brahmatal Top at 12,200 ft., descending to Daldam.
Day 5: Daldam to Rishikesh / Kathgodam
Distance & Time: Trek approximately 5-6 km, followed by a drive of 210 km, taking about 6-8 hours. Altitude: Return to Rishikesh or Kathgodam.
